Solar Eclipse in Gate 51

The Solar Eclipse is happening on April 8th at 11:20am Pacific and will be activating gate 51, the Gate of Shock, which is also currently transiting the Sun, North Node, and Chiron. 

A solar eclipse will always occur close to the North Node, but isn't always in the same gate. However, this solar eclipse is happening with the Sun, Moon, North Node and Chiron all in gate 51. 

Solar eclipses are seen as potent times for initiating new beginnings, taking risks, and moving forward in life. They often coincide with opportunities for personal growth and advancement. 

With the Nodes and eclipses being on the Aries-Libra axis, we’re going through a recalibration of honoring our personal needs and boundaries while also considering the perspectives and needs of others.

This axis highlights the dynamic interplay between individuality and partnership, self-assertion and cooperation, independence and compromise. It reflects the tension between the need for self-assertion and the desire for harmonious relationships.

With the North Node being in Aries and the South Node in Libra, excess Libra energy is being released and let go so we can expand and evolve more of the qualities of Aries. However, we might have some wounding around the qualities of Aries, with Chiron being there. 

Chiron represents the archetype of the wounded healer, symbolizing both the pain and the potential for healing and wisdom that comes from our deepest wounds and vulnerabilities.

Chiron is a minor planet located in the outer Solar System, orbiting the Sun between Saturn and Uranus. It follows an eccentric orbit, crossing the orbits of both Saturn and Uranus and taking approximately 50 years to make a full cycle around the Sun. Its orbit is irregular, and it spends more time in some signs of the zodiac than others due to its elliptical path.

In Greek mythology, Chiron was a centaur renowned for his wisdom, knowledge of healing, and skill in the arts. He was accidentally wounded by a poisoned arrow and, being immortal, endured eternal suffering until he was released from his pain by exchanging his immortality for the release of Prometheus.

Chiron encourages us to confront our deepest wounds and transform them into sources of strength and wisdom. It represents the delicate balance between our wounds and our capacity for healing and growth and us that our deepest vulnerabilities can be sources of strength and wisdom if we are willing to confront and integrate them into our lives.

With Chiron being activated by gate 51, this is an opportunity to explore where there might be some wounding around trusting our own path and having the courage to follow our own creative potential. 

Chiron in Aries is related to wounding or vulnerability in your sense of self, identity, independence, and courage. This is about learning to heal and empower yourself by cultivating independence and self-reliance. 

This might include confronting issues related to self-image, identity, and personal autonomy in order to achieve greater confidence and fulfillment.

The 51st Hexagram is known as The Arousing or Taking Action and is made up of the elements of Thunder over Thunder. This is the pure thunder archetype in the I’Ching- all hexagrams that have thunder in either the lower or upper trigram will be connected to the 51st Hexagram.  It also represents the eldest son archetype in the I’Ching. 

Thunder proclaims the arrival of spring. The 25th Hexagram, which is always activated during the Spring Equinox, is what transitions the lower trigram from into Thunder.  Thunder awakens the hibernating animals and tiny sprouts begin to emerge from the soil. It arouses us into action as we move into a new season. 

The Gate of Shock is about looking for a sense of spirit or a feeling that goes beyond yourself. The potential power of this gate is its ability to leap into the void through trusting in Spirit.

The competitive spirit is born out of this gate. It loves shocking people with going where no one else dares to go.

It's the only gate in the Heart center that's not part of the Ego Circuit. As a part of the Centering Circuit in the Individual Circuitry, gate 51 provides the courage to face the challenges that arise as you follow your own unique direction in life.  

The 51st Shadow of Agitation is rooted in a deep distrust in life because of its unpredictable nature and being out of your control. Shock is a part of life, but in the shadow they can wreak havoc on your nervous system because of the lack of trust in life. 

This can manifest as being cowardly (repressive nature) where you allow fear to run your life or hostile (reactive nature) where you project your agitation out into the world and onto others.  

Agitation is about putting all of your energy into trying to delay or avoid the inevitable. This lies in the denial of the ultimate shock- the fact that each of us will one day die. 

The 51st Gift of Initiative is about having the courage to follow your own path and unlock your creative independence.  This is the initiative to be yourself.

There is nothing you can do to work on being yourself because you cannot become what you already are.  This is about trusting and following your own path in life.  

There is no competition when you're following your own path in life because you walk a path no one has been down before. The collective, homogenized path is the way of security.  The way of the individual is differentiated and is thus mysterious and uncertain.  

This is about discovering your own truth, which often means facing your deepest fears and shadows. Initiative is a battle with your own fears that involves taking a leap into your higher self.  This is the shock of awakening from one level of being into another. 

Initiative is the precursor to awakening (the 51st Siddhi). It is not possible to awaken without first stepping fully into your own creative independence. When you are truly being yourself, you unlock the magical genius within you that belongs to no one else. 

Right now the Channel of Initiation is activated with gate 51 in the Sun + North Node and gate 25 activated in Venus.  This channel is about having the courage to leap into the unknown and follow your own path. 

In the shadow it shows up as a constriction of your life force that's rooted in the fear of life being beyond your control. As you take the initiative to look into your own shadows, you discover that you no longer need to be afraid of fear. 

The more you accept yourself and others, the more love blooms in your life. You approach difficulties in life with more creativity, instead of giving into harshness and furthering the agitation. You trust in the universe to have your back when you take the courageous leap into following your own path- a path no one has walked before. 

Aries is really embodied within this channel as it centers us in our individuality and gives us the courage to leap into the unknown and follow our unique path in life.
