Tomorrow, May 18th, Jupiter will move into the heart of the Sun, which is known as a Cazimi.
In astrology, "cazimi" refers to a planet being conjunct (within 0.25 degrees) with the Sun. When a planet is in cazimi, it is said to be in a position of strength or heightened influence.
Traditionally, this is seen as a very powerful and fortunate placement, as the planet is said to be "in the heart of the Sun," receiving its energy and being purified by its light.
This is happening while Jupiter is in the final 2 degrees of Taurus, just before it moves into Gemini on May 25th.
Jupiter spends about a year in each of the 12 zodiac signs, so we are coming to a close in the current chapter of Jupiter in Taurus.
In astrology, a Jupiter Cazimi is considered a highly auspicious and powerful alignment. Jupiter is associated with expansion, growth, wisdom, abundance, and good fortune, while the Sun represents vitality, energy, and consciousness. When these two benefic planets come together in such a close conjunction, their energies merge harmoniously, magnifying the positive qualities of Jupiter.
Jupiter is one of the most significant planets in astrology, often referred to as the "Great Benefic" due to its association with expansion, abundance, and good fortune. It’s also associated with higher knowledge, philosophy, and spirituality. It represents our search for meaning, truth, and purpose in life.
If you have a day chart or are a Pisces or Sagittarius Rising, then Jupiter will play an even more significant role in your life.
There are 2 teams or sects of planets in astrology- the Day Sect and Night Sect, which are each led by a luminary- the Sun or Moon.
The day team is led by the Sun and includes Jupiter as the benefic planet and Saturn as the malefic planet. The night team is led by the Moon and includes Venus and the benefic and Mars and the malefic. Mercury is neutral for both sects.
Benefic planets are those that are traditionally believed to bring positive influences and favorable outcomes in astrology. These planets are associated with qualities such as growth, harmony, blessings, and good fortune.
Malefic planets, on the other hand, are those believed to bring challenging or adverse influences in astrology. They are associated with obstacles, difficulties, and hardships.
Benefics can affirm, stabilize, or improve. Malefics can negate, destabilize, or corrupt.
It’s important to keep in mind that the benefic or malefic nature of a planet can be influenced by factors such as its placement in the natal chart, the signs it occupies, and the aspects it forms with other planets.
If you were born during the day when the Sun was above the horizon, then you have a day chart and the day team of planets will play a more significant role in your chart.
If you were born at night when the Sun was below the horizon, then you have a night chart and the night team of planets will have more of an impact on your chart.
Jupiter rules the zodiac signs of Sagittarius and Pisces and is considered particularly potent when placed in these signs. If you’re a Sag or Pisces Rising, then Jupiter is your chart ruler.
Additionally, Jupiter is exalted in the sign of Cancer, meaning it expresses its qualities most strongly there.
The Jupiter Cazimi is happening in gate 8, the Gate of Contribution, which is located in the Throat center reaching for gate 1 in the G-Center, forming the Channel of Inspiration, which is a part of the Knowing Circuit (Individual).
Coincidentally, gate 1 is in the Ascendant at the time of the cazimi.
The 8th Hexagram is known as Holding Together or Union and is made up of the elements of Water over Earth. When water is on the earth, it flows.
It is made up of 5 yin lines and 1 yang line, which is the 5th line of the hexagram. The 5th line of a hexagram is a natural place for a yang line. The placement of the yang line in this hexagram with 5 yin lines represents a person in the right place at the right time who has a great influence on the surrounding environment.
The Gate of Contribution is about making your individual contribution to the whole through being an example.
These individuals are not leaders but rather freethinkers who have learned to follow their own path and are here to show others what is possible through following their own unique path. It has the ability to stand up and get everyone's attention and draw others to a truth.
The potential melancholy present in this gate is about no one paying attention to you. Without gate 1, can search for the inspirational qualities of a creator/leader. However, you're not necessarily designed to bear the burden of leadership but rather to be the promoter of something or someone new.
The 8th Shadow of Mediocrity is rooted in the fear of being different and prevents individuals from rising out of the mass consciousness and expressing their true rebellious spirit.
“The 8th Shadow gives you a recognizable stereotype in the world which not only makes you feel safe about who you think you are, but also makes others feel safe with who they think you are.” -Richard Rudd, 8th Gene Key
Mediocrity can manifest as wooden (repressive nature) where you follow the mainstream path and live a hollow life devoid of dreams. Or it can manifest as artificial (reactive nature) where you create an illusion that you’re living an authentic life, but really it's completely faked. Beneath the surface, you have compromised your spirit to some aspect of the system.
The 8th Shadow makes you a follower of outside authorities rather than trusting in your own unique path. This is the compromised, unimaginative, conformist lives that we see the majority of people living.
The 8th Gift of Style is about following your own unique rebellious spirit and bringing something totally original into the world. It can be scary to embody this gift because it means to completely go against the status quo.
True style is something that cannot be faked, imitated, or predicted- its wild, organic, and always changing. When you embody this gift you live at the cutting edge of creation and surrender to the creative process itself.
Those who embody this gift are often not recognized or misunderstood in their time. True style is always rebellious and recreating itself. It's not afraid of the mundane material plane or in reaction to it.
This is about exploring new paradigms and expanding beyond your comfort zone into new areas, which is being supported by the Jupiter Cazimi.
The 8th Siddhi of Exquitness is that natural manifestation of all siddhic states of consciousness that is experienced when the Divine begins to shine through an individual.
“You shine like a diamond in the heart of creation and wherever you look, you see other diamonds in various states of clarity, each one unique and each one exquisite and incomparable.” -Richard Rudd, 8th Gene Key
Our most common mistake when it comes to this Gene Key is trying to emulate or imitate someone else, which immediately disconnects you from your own uniqueness and drops you back into the shadow of mediocrity.
The higher frequencies of the 8th are not about trying to get others to follow or mimic you but rather empowering others through your example to live authentically as their true self. This is a very liberatory energy that helps to free others from structured systems.
The 1-8 Channel of Inspiration is about being a creative role model through being an example of what it looks like to live authentically as yourself. This happens as you have the courage to stand out from the crowd and express yourself creatively.
The shadow of this channel is the Mediocrity of Entropy, which manifests as trying to imitate others instead of following your own unique rebellious spirit. You try to force your creativity instead of honoring your creative cycles. This prevents you from bringing something totally original into the world.
The Gift of this channel is the Style of Freshness, which emerges as you let go of the fear of what others will think of you and become the creator of your life. You embrace the cycles of creation and don't try to force creativity when it's not there.
