Gemini New Moon in Gate 35

The New Moon in Gemini is on June 6th at 5:37 am Pacific, activating gate 35, the Gate of Change. This is happening just following the Venus Cazimi on June 4th, which is also happening in gate 35. On June 6th, the Sun, Venus and New Moon will all be in gate 35.6.

A cazimi refers to a planet being conjunct with the Sun. A Venus Cazimi is a powerful and favorable astrological event, which enhances Venusian qualities and has the potential to bring positive influences in love, relationships, creativity, and finances. Its effects can provide a period of heightened harmony, beauty, and personal fulfillment.

This Venus Cazimi in Gemini enhances the ability to express love, affection, and appreciation through words, making it a great time for heart-to-heart conversations and resolving misunderstandings.

Jupiter and Mercury are also in Gemini, creating a powerful stellium of planets currently in Gemini. This is  because Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is in its home sign.

Below is the natal chart for that time of the new moon so you can see exactly where all of the planets will be at that time.

Mercury governs communication, expression, and how we share and receive information. It influences verbal and written communication, technology, and media. It represents intellect, logical thinking, and reasoning abilities.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and thus the fastest moving planet, taking only 88 days to make a full cycle around the Sun. This is why Mercury is also associated with adaptability and versatility.

We can see all of these traits reflected in the mutable air sign of Gemini.

Geminis often think quickly and can process information rapidly, which makes them naturally talented at problem-solving and coming up with innovative ideas.

The mercurial influence means that Geminis are often sociable and enjoy engaging with others. They can articulate their thoughts well, making them effective communicators.

Geminis are usually flexible and can adapt to different situations and people. They enjoy having multiple hobbies/interests and exploring new ideas. They’re curious about the world and often pursue a wide range of interests.

One of the challenges for Gemini is restlessness. The constant need for stimulation and variety can lead to restlessness and difficulty in focusing on one task for long periods.

We can see this challenge reflected in the Gate of Change, which will be activated by the Sun, Moon and Venus.

The 35th Hexagram is called Progress and is represented by the elements of Fire over Earth, symbolizing the fire of the Sun rising over the Earth. It is like the Sun shining on all of Earth’s beings, which brings progress as we contribute to the collective.

The Gate of Change is located in the Throat center reaching for gate 36 in the Emotional Solar Plexus, creating the Channel of Transitoriness, which is a part of the Sensing (Collective) Circuit.

The 35th gate is the expression of the experiential way and the Stream of Feeling that flows from the 41-30 Channel of Recognition through the 36-35 Channel of Transitoriness.

This gate speaks with the voice of "I feel,” which is usually followed by "it's time for change." It’s driven by curiosity and a desire to explore new things, just for the experience.

It’s important that new experiences be entered into correctly, otherwise they can often bring unexpected turbulence and emotional conflict. Without gate 36, this gate can be prone to seeking an emotional rush to escape boredom when there is nothing new to explore.

The 35th codes for the amino acid, Tryptophan, which the body uses to help make melatonin and serotonin. Melatonin helps regulate the sleep-wake cycle, and serotonin is thought to help regulate appetite, sleep, mood, and pain.

Serotonin induces states of satiation and fulfillment. When this gate is expressed in the shadow, serotonin production is inhibited which is what causes the perpetual feeling of hunger.

The 35th Shadow of Hunger is about never being satiated. This is the hunger for new experience that can never be satiated.

Hunger can manifest as bored (repressive nature) or manic (reactive nature). Bored happens when you become afraid of what your life might become if you let your desire dictate your direction in life so you repress them, whereas manic is too busy to be bored.

The 35th Shadow of Hunger is connected to the 30th Shadow of Desire.

The 30th Hexagram is the pure fire element and is known as Clinging Fire. Desires and hunger are like a clinging fire that sticks to us.  As much as we try to satiate our hunger and desire, it persists.

Gate 30 is also the Gate of the Fates, which teaches us that life is not always what we expect it to be - it's what we allow it to be. You can't control the outcome, but you can control how you enter into something.

What we learn from the 30th is that DESIRES ARE THE CLINGING FIRE - we’re designed to burn with longing and desire but despite what we do to fulfill those desires, they persist in clinging to us. Even if you were to fulfill one desire, another one would just ignite in its place.

This is why all desires must be felt, but not necessarily followed. Fighting this evolutionary force of desire is what causes so much suffering in the first place.

The 35th Gift of Adventure is about doing things with a new level of awareness and openness to all of life.

Love stimulates new chemical messages to flow through your DNA which results in you entering into a whole new world of adventure that is beyond what your logical mind can even comprehend.

The easiest way to transform your life is to give your love unconditionally in as many areas of your life as possible.

Adventure isn't necessarily about going far and wide, but rather sampling the incredible diversity that life has to offer you right now. Everyday your life can be a new adventure.

The 35th Siddhi of Boundlessness is a hidden wormhole that leads to a vast realm of possibilities that is beyond our current comprehension. At the level of the 35th Siddhi, anything is possible.

“The 35th Siddhi has but one purpose- to break the laws of form and to manifest miracles so that people can expand their awareness and open their hearts to a greater mode of being…Simply to be in the presence of a true miracle is to open your eyes to a whole new horizon. It can change your life and open your heart in a single, mind-bending, reality-shattering experience.” -Richard Rudd, 35th Gene Key
