Happy Solstice and Full Moon in Capricorn
It is officially summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere with the Solstice happening yesterday, June 20th.
The solstice refers to two points in the year when the Sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky as observed from Earth. This marks the longest and shortest days of the year. There are two solstices annually (summer and winter).
During the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky, resulting in the longest day of the year. Conversely, in the Southern Hemisphere, it marks the shortest day of the year.
The Solstice always occurs while gates 10 and 15 are activated. Right now the Sun is in gate 15 and the Earth is in gate 10. The Full Moon in Capricorn is happening this evening at 6:08 pm Pacific, which will be activating gate 10.
Solstices are seen as turning points in the solar year, symbolizing shifts in energy and consciousness. They mark the transition between light and darkness, symbolizing the balance between opposites and the cyclical nature of life.
The Solstice also marked the start of Cancer season, which goes from June 20th to July 22nd. The ingress into Cancer marks a shift towards more intuitive and emotional responses. There’s an emphasis on protection, care, and the nurturing of relationships.
Cancer is the 4th sign in the zodiac and the first water sign. It’s ruled by the Moon and Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. The Moon is said to govern emotions, intuition, and the unconscious mind, which is what gives Cancer its nurturing and empathetic qualities.
The symbol for Cancer is the crab, which represents its protective nature and the tendency to retreat into one's shell. Cancer’s often have strong family ties and a deep sense of home and tradition but can also be overly sensitive, clingy, or insecure at times.
The moon in Capricorn is in a challenging place for it to be, since this is the furthest sign (in opposition) to Cancer. Where Cancer can be very comfortable with emotions, Capricorn can often neglect emotions or view them in getting in the way of external success.
Cancer is focused on home, family, and emotional connections and values nurturing relationships, creating a secure home environment, and caring for loved ones.
Whereas Capricorn is more oriented towards career, public status, and worldly achievements and prioritizes hard work, discipline, and reaching goals to ensure material security and social status.
This is the axis of home and family versus public image and career. The Cancer-Capricorn axis highlights the need to balance emotional and material security, personal and professional life, and nurturing and achieving.

The paradox of this shadow is that it’s necessary for our evolution. We have to first tread on the path of self obsession in order to discover who we truly are, which is something that cannot be found externally.

Naturalness is something that dawns when self-obsession exhausts itself. You have to first seek the answer to the question, "who am I?" before you can begin to release your obsession with your own identity.
